With a return to analog and very eclectic, indie jazz, TRANSIT ELEKTRO is starting a new era of the band, which was founded in 2007. In addition to the founding member Florian Scheffler (trumpet) there are now the proactive and ambitious musicians Kota Maeda (Japan, guitar), Mesut Gürsoy (Germany / Turkey, drums) and Lüder Lindau (Germany, bass). After a 5 year break, the second founding member Peter Herzau (Fender Rhodes, keys) returned to the band. For them, eclectic jazz means transferring the electro jazz of the original computer accompanied duo to the live generated structure of a quintet, using many effects and not being afraid of different musical styles. With their highly improvisational, undogmatic approach, the quintet fuses a wide variety of music styles such as jazz, dub, krautrock and funk. Sometimes danceable, sometimes melancholy, sometimes like the background music of a film or like a journey into the weightlessness of space.
